CAD in Fusion 360
Summary
This first lesson in CAD and Fusion 360 covered:
- Navigating the Fusion 360 interface and Design workbench
- Creating and constraining sketches
- Extruding sketches to form solids
- A smattering of keyboard shortcuts for speeding up work
- The Fusion 360 timeline and editing existing features
- Applying physical materials to a body
- Projecting parts of 3D geometry into a 2D sketch plane
- Using circular patterns to duplicate features around an axis
- Applying fillets and chamfers to round off edges
Exercises
Here are some practice designs to replicate in Fusion 360 and here are the solutions. We’ll go over a couple more of these in the second week, but not all of them, so feel free to get some practice in!
